Home safety on a college campus is important. Just because you are living in a dorm does not mean you should forget basic home safety tips. Be aware of your surroundings. Avoid secluded areas, especially at night. Walk in well-lit areas, and avoid walking alone. Home safety means following your instincts. If it does not feel safe, don’t go there. Being with a group you know is safer than being alone.
